2018 Summer Reading Program – Libraries Rock!
Summer Reading Program
Summertime is reading time! The Warren County Memorial Library is promoting the national theme, “Libraries Rock!” during our 2018 Annual Summer Reading Program. Readers of all ages are invited to our KickOff registration event on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. featuring “BoHo the Clown” at 12 noon. The Summer Reading Program runs four weeks and ends Monday, July 23, 2018 with a Grand Finale celebrating reading and readers.
Anytime is a good time to read, but summer is an important time to keep it up. Participating in the library summer reading program can make the difference between summer setback and summer success, leading to better academic performance when kids and teens return to school in the fall. Plus, our library makes summer reading fun, with incentives, arts and crafts and special events designed to enhance the reading experience.
How it Works
- Register for the Summer Reading Program and join our RockStar Reading Wall of Fame.
- Read or listen to as many books as you can and write the titles on your reading log.
- Report the number of books you read to the library over the phone or in person. Earn a Summer Reading Certificate after reporting 5 books.
- #RockStarReaders join the Summer Reading Grand Finale for Top Reader Awards, Entertainment, and a Book Giveaway.
